Blackboard Text has no account, analytics, telemetry, remote database, or note-sync service.

What is stored

Pages, drawings, settings, and recovery snapshots live in IndexedDB for the current browser profile and origin. The Edge extension may read legacy unpacked-extension storage only to copy it into this local workspace; it does not upload it.

What leaves the browser

Only the app files needed to load and update the PWA are requested from this GitHub Pages site. Note content is not sent there. A downloaded .blackboard.json backup is created only when you choose Export and is controlled by you.

Keeping a copy

Clearing site data, uninstalling an extension, or deleting a browser profile can remove local data. Export a backup before doing any of those things.
